Job Title: Physical Design Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned expert in physical design to spearhead our team's innovative projects at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement all aspects of physical design for full-chip and block-level designs, including floorplanning, placement, budgeting, clock tree planning and analysis, scan reordering, and routing.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in EDA tools such as DC, ICC2, Cadence Innovus, STAR-RC, PT-SI, Verplex, Quartz, Calibre, and internal tools and flow.
  • Collaborate with the methodology team to resolve implementation challenges and provide input to improve the physical design flow.
  • Design automation and experience with Synopsys/Cadence/Mentor place and route tools are essential.
  • Strong understanding of timing constraints, SI prevention, and power reduction is required.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in ASIC physical design, with a focus on block implementation, extraction, timing, and/or full-chip designs.
  • Strong communication skills and hands-on TCL/Perl development skills are essential.

Please note that this role requires a strong track record of taping out complex chips on advanced process nodes.

As a Physical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality physical IP blocks, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
