Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software solutions using various web technologies such as HTML5/CSS3, Native JavaScript or AngularJS or Angular or ReactJS and other web server technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong Web development skills, a solid understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices, and excellent troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop software applications that meet business requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document technical requirements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Developing high-quality software that meets requirements, promotes re-use of software components, and facilitates ease of support.
  • Diagnosing, isolating, and implementing remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements in Engineering practices.
  • Utilizing software-based system maintenance and tracking tools.
  • Providing input and technical content for technical documentation, user help materials, and customer training.
  • Conducting unit tests, tracking problems, and implementing changes to ensure adherence to test plan and functional/nonfunctional requirements.

Requirements:

  • 2+ Year of related experience with Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Strong Web development skills using HTML5/CSS3, Native JavaScript or AngularJS or Angular or ReactJS and other web server technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business and technical requirements
  • Ability to document the requirements inform of word document and/or UML diagrams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, Should be proficient in Japanese (spoken and written) – bilingual candidates preferred

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Designer Specialty Retail and Food & Drug POS solutions (payments, eWIC, loyalty, promotions, etc.)
  • Experience with POS and Self-Checkout Integrations.
  • Experience with Cloud development.
