Big Data Developer Position Overview

This role involves designing and implementing big data solutions to meet business needs.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Big Data Developer to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective design, development, validation, and support activities to deliver high-quality technology services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather requirements and specifications to understand client needs in detail
  • Translate client requirements into system requirements
  • Estimate work requirements to provide accurate project estimations to Technology Leads and Project Managers
  • Design and develop efficient programs and systems
  • Collaborate with other Big Data developers to ensure consistent data solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong experience with big data technologies and associated tools such as Hadoop, Unix, HDFS, Hive, Impala, etc.
  • Proficiency in using Spark/Scala
  • Experience with data Import/Export using Sqoop or similar tools
  • Experience using Airflow, Jenkins or similar automation tools
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server and database structures
  • Demonstrated ability to write and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Experience working with Jira/Confluence/GitLab
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously
