IT Officer

Overview of the Role

This role involves performing key SAP Basis activities, monitoring system performance, and providing functional support in various SAP modules.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform user administration, role assignment, system monitoring, job scheduling, and transport management.
  • Coordinate patches/upgrades and work with support partners for issue resolution.
  • Provide support in procurement and inventory management using SAP MM module.
  • Assist in managing change requests, including documentation, testing, and deployment.
  • Support Master Data uploads and ensure accuracy of entries.
  • Deliver end-user training and day-to-day support to help users effectively utilize SAP.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders for issue resolution and system improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with pharma IT policies, GxP, Data Integrity, and audit requirements.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of SAP Basis, including user & role management, transport management, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Working knowledge of MM processes and inter-module integration.
  • SAP certification in Basis (NetWeaver / S/4HANA) is preferred; MM certification is an advantage.
  • Experience in user support, training, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with pharma IT compliance requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, Data Integrity).
  • Good problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
