Job Description

A Data Migration Expert is required to execute end-to-end data migration activities.

  • This role involves close collaboration with local business and functional teams while acting as a bridge between the Global Data Migration Expert (GDME) and Data Migration Execution teams.

The expert ensures that local requirements are accurately captured in conversion workbooks and effectively delivered during deployment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the deployment wave focal point for assigned data objects in scope for deployment or local data migration projects.
  • Collaborating with Business Data Owners, Functional Experts, ETL teams, legacy system teams, and deployment teams.
  • Driving migration activities for deployment projects.
  • Verifying data transformation tools and outputs for deployment wave projects.
  • Managing DMW load file preparation and performing initial verification.
  • Executing DVT scripts and supporting defect/hypercare incident resolution for assigned data objects.
  • Coordinating defect resolution or escalating to GDMEs as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of ERP project implementation experience, with strong data migration expertise.
  • Proven experience in data migration execution across multi-country, multi-system environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP BODS.
  • Strong understanding of GxP and CSV requirements.
  • SAP Certified in at least one relevant functional area.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrix-based organization.
  • Strategic and hands-on mindset with experience running meetings, tracking progress, and managing issues.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages preferred).
Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to healthcare or regulated industry environments.
  • Prior experience leading data migration in large ERP programs.
