Infrastructure Specialist Role

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Specialist to collaborate with our team and contribute to the development of our technical capabilities. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for managing large-scale infrastructure systems, adapting to different roles and technologies as project needs evolve, and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing infrastructure systems and knowledge of software-defined networking.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and good understanding of software delivery principles.
  • Ability to adapt to different roles and technologies when needed and familiarity with Linux and configuration management tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization and cloud-native technologies, including Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Envoy.
  • Understanding of Observability and ability to collaborate with dev teams to improve their observability systems.
  • SQL and NoSQL database management skills.
  • Basic cloud security knowledge.

What You Will Do:

  • Adapt to different roles and technologies as project needs evolve.

  • Make RFCs, take inputs and document knowledge for team reference.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with managing large-scale infrastructure systems.
  • Experience as a reliability engineer is good to have.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Good understanding of software delivery principles.
  • Technical agility: Ability to adapt to different roles and technologies when needed.
