Job Summary

A seasoned software developer with expertise in z/OS is needed to master, develop, and maintain a critical business component.

  • 10-15 years of hands-on technical experience in software development with sound knowledge of z/OS.
  • Proven proficiency in JCL, C, C++, batch processing under IBM z/OS.
Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for the z/OS port of a complex, business-critical C++ component.
  • Develop, optimize, support, maintain, and document the aforementioned component.
  • Work collaboratively using agile methodologies to design, develop, and maintain software solutions.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • Basic knowledge of Git, Java, COBOL, Python, z/OS assembler, DB2, and ticketing systems.
  • Demonstrable ability to handle issue resolution processes including verification, isolation, correction, testing, and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with clients and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the insurance domain, familiarity with VSAM on z/OS, proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, and experience with operating systems such as AIX, iOS, Android, z/OS, and IBM I/iSeries. Skilled in using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams.
