Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician Job

As a skilled HVAC professional, you will install, inspect, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

This includes air conditioners, chillers, furnaces, air handlers, and ventilation units. You must ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, maintain and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent failures of HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and recommend solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Adjust system controls for optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Test and balance air and hydronic systems to meet performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes and environmental regulations.
  • Respond to emergency service calls.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components and refrigeration cycles.
  • Ability to use HVAC tools, gauges and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and occupational health regulations.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and withstand varying weather conditions.
  • Diploma/ITI/Technical certification in HVAC, Mechanical or related field.
