Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished technology leader to spearhead our Bangalore engineering team.

This role will involve leading a group of engineers in developing new products and scaling existing ones for the rapidly growing Indian market.

You will collaborate with other teams across the organization to ensure seamless experience across platforms and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance and career development of a large team of engineers and managers.
  • Be responsible for significant parts of our products requiring design, architecture, and coding expertise.
  • Participate in creating a long-term technology strategy.
  • Serve as a role model and professional mentor for engineers and managers.
  • Work closely with peers from other teams to support and leverage shared technical resources.
  • Manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural decisions, review code, and deliver high-quality results promptly.
  • Promote the production of top-notch software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
  • Foster close collaboration with product and other cross-functional partners to help create roadmaps that can lead to significant impact on our products.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of relevant engineering work experience and 4+ years of hands-on technical management experience.
  • 5+ years of software design and coding experience in one of the following languages: Java, C++.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of management experience in building small to medium-sized teams, demonstrating growth and successful deliveries.
  • 5+ years of experience in building and working with production-grade systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship several large-scale projects with dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Successful track record of building and delivering on cross-functional partnerships across multiple teams.
  • Active involvement in creation and execution of technical strategy and roadmap.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and growing team members in their careers.
  • Track record of partnering with recruiting to hire and build exceptional engineering teams.
