Research Chemist Position

The Research Chemist position involves the design and execution of synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programs.
  • Track SAR and optimize potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules for research programs.
  • Perform purification and structural characterization of compounds.
  • Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate lab records and contribute to technical reports.
  • Collaborate with analytical teams as needed.
  • Provide input on intellectual property activities.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Postdoctoral experience in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in working on bench, preferably in an industry.
