We are seeking a Credit Controller who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of transactions with attention to detail and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Account Management: Manage a portfolio of client accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices, maintain accurate records, and follow up on overdue payments.
- Client Communication: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients through regular communication, negotiations, and issue resolution.
- Payment Arrangements: Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients to facilitate the collection process, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Billing Disputes: Resolve billing and payment disputes by coordinating with internal departments and clients, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities, including communication logs, payment status, and dispute resolutions.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the status of accounts receivable and collection efforts for management review, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Skills and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
