Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineering Manager to lead our product development efforts for new and emerging product lines.

As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will work closely with senior leaders, product managers, developers, quality analysts, and infrastructure specialists to establish a robust product engineering process.

The ideal candidate will be reasonably hands-on and able to take charge of end-to-end product engineering requirements for multiple product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a product roadmap for your team and drive execution in collaboration with strategy, product, and business teams.
  • Serve as a thought leader and mentor on architecture, design, and technical aspects of products.
  • Identify and deploy the right tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to help product engineers work more efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee product development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within agreed time frames.
  • Own all non-functional requirements (NFRs) for products.
  • Contribute to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members.
  • Lead product development (full stack) and releases, including architecture, design, development, and testing within agreed time frames.
Desired Skill Set:
  • Experience in product development companies is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile software development and management methods, including user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, and shared ownership.
  • Adept at using off-the-shelf software components rather than building everything from scratch.
  • Value progress over perfection and have a track record of shipping value to customers.
  • Hands-on experience with Typescript and JavaScript-based front-end frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and experience building and deploying RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
  • Proven ability to build and ship features for high-traffic web applications and mobile applications.
  • Good understanding of RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with observability tools to identify and isolate problems.
  • Passionate about working together with a team to solve customer problems.
  • Excited about teaching and mentoring team members.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:

BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree with 12-20 years of relevant experience.
