Job Title

  • Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analytics Specialist

The successful candidate will play a key role in executing stress test models related to Central & Others (excluding treasury) in the Bank's stress test exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Sourcing and Maintenance: Finance data, including gathering, transforming, mapping, building business views, and automation of sourcing processes.
  • Strategy Development: Conduct analytics to decipher insights from Financial Performance reports, balance sheets, ensure analytics practice is established and deployed effectively in Global Business Services, work with partner teams to create and build next generation analytics solutions, assess problem statements & propose potential solutions by advocating and enabling data-driven analytics, conduct thorough validation and data quality checks to ensure accurate and value adding solutions being delivered.
  • Credit Risk Management: Deliver on Credit Risk requirements for Enterprise-wide Stress Testing (EST) exercises across the Group, carry out EST stress testing analytics work for Retail Clients, Private Banking, and Corporate and Institutional clients, ensure compliance to EST procedures, methodologies, and controls, manage governance related aspects of the execution of credit risk testing, drive process improvements and best practices for more efficiency and productivity, lead and manage support staff necessary for the production of credit risk stress calculation for the banking book, support development and maintenance of underlying models to enhance credit risk stress testing methodology, deliver adequate documentation on stress testing methodology subject to management, model validation, audit, and regulatory scrutiny.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge in SQL, Python, SAS, Excel Automation, and TABLEAU is an added advantage.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical mindset with excellent analytical, logical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor or Master's degree with technical degree preferred (Finance, statistics, mathematics, computer science, etc.).
  • Work Experience: Hands-on experience in handling Finance data and best practices in data management.
  • Additional Advantage: Previous experience on Financial & Management reporting is an added advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels (i.e., colleagues to senior management) and situations (i.e., one-on-one to presentations).
