Job Description

The role of a senior manual tester involves planning, designing and executing test cases to ensure software, platforms and systems meet the required standards of performance and reliability.

  • Design, document and execute detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document and track software defects with clear reporting.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to validate bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze test results, provide feedback and recommend improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and defect management tools.
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, bug reports and test documentation.
  • Familiarity with Jira, TestRail or similar test management tools.
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Mentor junior testers and support the QA team in achieving best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain testing documentation and reports for stakeholders.
  • Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies for test readiness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Relevant certification (e.g. ISTQB) preferred.
Experience
  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, preferably in telecom or enterprise applications.
  • Experience in telecom software or network management systems is a strong plus.
