Job Title: Mendix Platform Specialist

A skilled Mendix administrator plays a vital role in managing the Mendix platform and its applications within an organization. Their key responsibilities include user and access management, application deployment and monitoring, and ensuring the platform's overall health and security.

The specialist acts as a bridge between the technical aspects of the platform and the business needs, often working with both technical teams and end-users. Key skills required for this role include strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

The specialist oversees the deployment of new applications, monitors their performance, and manages the application lifecycle. They configure settings within the Mendix platform, manage Marketplace content, and ensure the platform is running smoothly.

Other key responsibilities include troubleshooting and support, security management, collaboration and communication, and staying updated with the latest platform features, security updates, and best practices.

Key tasks associated with this role include:

  • Managing users and groups: Adding, removing, and modifying user accounts and access rights
  • Deploying new applications and managing versions
  • Managing marketplace content: Adding and configuring components from the Mendix Marketplace
  • Monitoring platform health: Tracking resource usage, performance metrics, and security logs
  • Configuring platform settings: Setting up company-specific configurations, such as security settings and branding
  • Troubleshooting issues: Investigating and resolving platform and application-related issues
