Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our raw material inventory, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. This involves managing receipt, storage, issuance, and record maintenance, as well as conducting regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical vs. system stock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day activities in the raw material store to maintain efficient operations.
  • Ensure all raw materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored according to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular checks to verify accuracy of stock records and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials without disrupting production.
  • Maintain a first-in-first-out (FIFO) or first-expired-first-out (FEFO) system for material issuance.
  • Monitor storage conditions to preserve material quality and prevent spoilage.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements for raw material handling.
  • Manage documentation, including GRNs, stock registers, bin cards, and ERP entries.
  • Identify slow-moving, non-moving, or expired raw materials and coordinate for proper disposal according to guidelines.
  • Support audits by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring store readiness.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Science, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in raw material store management, preferably in pharmaceuticals/medical devices/manufacturing industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally.
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques, including FIFO, FEFO, and Just-In-Time (JIT).
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and regulatory compliance related to raw material handling.
Required Skills:
  • Expertise in inventory management and material control.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage a team of store assistants and handlers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
