Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Body-In-White (BIW) components and structures for Passenger & Commercial Vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in CAD design and simulation tools such as CATIA V5. They will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BIW components and structures that meet or exceed project targets (cost, weight, quality, and timing)
  • Support Value Analysis - Value Engineering (VA-VE) and concept creation initiatives
  • Collaborate with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure integration and feasibility of designs
  • Ensure compliance with structural, safety, noise vibration harshness (NVH), and homologation requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
  • 4-8 years of experience in BIW design and development
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, vehicle packaging, assembly processes, and feasibility
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, stamping, and regulations
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, GSD, Drawing) and Teamcenter
