Job Opportunity

As a seasoned Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing efficient backend systems to support our maritime operations platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases, and other core systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing scalable, maintainable, and efficient software architecture
  • Taking full ownership of the product lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment
  • Implementing Test-Driven Development practices to ensure high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code
  • Building reusable, modular code and libraries to promote efficiency and consistency across projects
  • Optimizing applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability
  • Implementing and enforcing security best practices to ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  • Maintaining clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes related to the products owned

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong programming foundation in Python, including debugging and performance analysis
  • Experience in developing web applications and APIs using Django or Flask
  • Expertise in secure software development and handling sensitive data
  • Well-established experience in all phases of development, including requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and experience working with Git
  • Hands-on experience in DB design & Architecture with focus on performance
  • Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis
  • Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or any other web/app server
  • Experience in containerization tool - Docker
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise level deployment and scaling
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively solve complex problems and make informed decisions
  • Experience in writing reusable code and libraries to improve efficiency and consistency across multiple projects
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
