Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

A challenging role awaits you as a Business Systems Analyst. Your responsibility will be to conduct workshops with key stakeholders to gather detailed business and technical requirements.

You will analyze and document business processes, workflows, and data flows, working closely with technical teams to understand the technical aspects of the project and how they align with business needs.

The ideal candidate should have 5 to 8 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of experience in functional analysis on development projects.

Proven experience in functional analysis is necessary, with a strong understanding of both business and functional requirements and also technical aspects of projects.

A strong analytical and problem-solving skillset is required, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into functional requirements.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is also required.

• Conduct workshops with Product Owner & Product Manager to gather detailed business and technical requirements.
• Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and data flows.
• Work with technical teams to understand the technical aspects of the project and how they align with business needs.
• Develop detailed functional specifications that clearly outline the project requirements, scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that functional specifications are technically feasible and align with the overall system architecture.
• Create detailed user stories and use cases that capture the functional requirements and user interactions with the system.
• Prioritize user stories based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Maintain a backlog of user stories and ensure they are kept up-to-date and well-documented.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective communication and understanding.
• Facilitate regular meetings with Delivery Head, Product Owner and project stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress, status and gather feedback.
• Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise related to functional requirements during the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with QA teams to develop Test Plan and Test cases based on functional specifications and user stories.
• Participate in testing activities to ensure that the delivered solutions meet the functional requirements and are free of defects.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Use MS Office tools, UML and flow-charting techniques to create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all requirements, specifications, user stories, and project-related artifacts.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the current business process and propose changes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Craft clear, concise and actionable recommendations to support the development of new products or services.
