Job Overview

A mechanical design engineer is responsible for designing and developing high-voltage inverters.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop mechanical packaging, structures, and thermal management systems for high-voltage power inverters.
    • Technical Expertise:
      • Knowledge of HV Inverter Mechanical Design and development.
      • Familiarity with High Voltage Inverter components like Power modules, DC Link capacitors, EMC filters, Shielding's.
      • Understanding of clearances and creepage distances.
      • Proficiency in basic simulations (Structural, Thermal, etc.).
      • Advanced expertise in Unigraphics NX (Modelling, Drafting, Plastic & casting design, Generative sheet metal, Generative shape design, DMU).
      • Strong drafting knowledge and adherence to international standards.
      • Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
      • Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA).
      • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
      • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
