Patent Specialist Role Summary

As a skilled Patent Specialist, you will play a key role in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for inventions in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft high-quality patent applications that meet US and EP patent legal and procedural standards.
  • Deliver prosecution projects, including formulating response strategies for office actions and drafting complete responses.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in multiple technical areas, providing training and mentorship to team members.
  • Apply process knowledge to produce consistent, high-quality results in assigned tasks.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify issues, implement best practices, and provide recommendations to enhance team performance and productivity.
  • Use available tools to analyze and solve problems.
  • Participate in the hiring process, preparing test papers, evaluating candidates, and interviewing.
  • Lead team members in specialized technical assignments and projects requiring high levels of proficiency and competency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or technology from a reputable institution.
  • Excellent domain knowledge in ICT, with at least 4 years of experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution, including 2+ years of experience in patent drafting for the US jurisdiction.
  • Experience drafting 50+ patent applications for the US domain.
