Cisco ACI Engineer

About this Role:

Wew are seeking a seasoned data center professional to manage and maintain our Cisco ACI fabric-based SDN solutions. If you have hands-on experience managing complex data center networks, working with ACI fabric, and integrating with virtualization and automation platforms, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Cisco ACI fabric-based SDN solutions for optimal performance and scalability
  • Configure APIC, leaf/spine switches, policies, contracts, EPGs, and tenants to ensure seamless connectivity and security
  • Troubleshoot and optimize ACI deployments and fabric connectivity to minimize downtime and improve overall network health
  • Integrate ACI with third-party systems, such as VMware vCenter, firewalls, and monitoring tools, to ensure seamless communication and data exchange
  • Manage data center migrations and network transformations to ACI architecture, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and runbooks for ACI-related processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with network security and cloud teams to ensure policy enforcement and compliance with industry standards
  • Assist in network automation efforts using tools like Ansible and Python scripting for ACI API
  • Monitor and resolve network issues, incidents, and changes via ITIL processes, ensuring prompt response and resolution

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Essential Skills :

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, APIC, and fabric components
  • Good understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS, and other relevant technologies
  • Familiarity with Nexus 9000 series switches (NX-OS/ACI mode) and their configuration requirements
  • Experience in integrating ACI with VMware (vDS, vCenter) for seamless management and orchestration
  • Understanding of multitenancy, VRF, BD, EPG, and contracts in ACI, including configuration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of automation tools like Python, REST API, and Ansible for efficient network management
  • Network monitoring tools like Cisco DCNM and SolarWinds for real-time network visibility and alerting

PREFERRED SKILLS :

  • Cisco certifications preferred: CCNP Data Center, CCIE Data Center
  • 5–10 years of experience in enterprise networking and 3+ years in Cisco ACI
