About the Role

The Model Risk Governance and Review group is seeking a highly skilled Quant Analytics professional to join our team. As a key member of this group, you will be responsible for validating and governing quantitative and qualitative models developed by Corporate Investment Banking lines of businesses.

This role involves working closely with model developers and controls functions across the firm to understand methodology, usage, and establish transparency around model controls, model limitations, and performance.

You will also assist with model governance processes, model inventory, and issue management, as well as perform ongoing performance monitoring tests to ensure models are fit for purpose.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A strong understanding of Econometric Modelling and experience in model validation and governance.
  • An advanced degree in Math/Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong writing, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skill, and keen on independent research and problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across multiple teams/functions.
  • A self-starter with ability to work independently or with minimum supervision.
  • Risk and control mindset with an eye for details.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Python programming and experience in financial products/markets and regulatory stress testing (CCAR/ICAAP).
