Job Title: Veeam Backup Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Veeam Backup Engineer to join our team at CarbyneTech India Pvt Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing backup solutions using Veeam technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement backup strategies for SQL DB, File system, and image level backup in physical infrastructure environments and/or cloud environments.
  • Configure and schedule Veeam backups, file system, and application backups, and troubleshoot backup failures.
  • Perform backup monitoring, diagnostics, complex root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures to prevent future service interruptions.
  • Manage online data backups and execute retention policies.
  • Review logs and troubleshoot errors.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery drills and troubleshoot disaster recovery issues.
  • Evaluate disaster recovery plans and perform tests.
  • Run proactive checks on backup environments.
  • Backup performance fine-tuning and media management.
  • Restore data from backup repositories when requested.
  • Design solutions that meet RTO and RPO requirements as per BCP.
  • Provide technical support for business application backup and restoration in coordination with business application owners.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of strong backup engineering experience in information technology with heavy specialization in Veeam and backup technologies.
  • Extensive experience on Veeam Backup and recovery, Veeam one, Veeam Enterprise manager, Veeam backup failure, Veeam back up configuration on multiple environments such as on-prem, Azure, AWS, etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to perform advanced technical troubleshooting and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup Tool.
  • Hands-on working experience on Windows OS and worked on VMware ESXi/Hyper-V environment with basic knowledge of Cloud Computing.
