The Job of a Category Lead-Services is a critical role that oversees the procurement of services for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects. This position requires strategic oversight, team leadership, and vendor management skills to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of construction, commissioning, and support services.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing sourcing strategies, driving international sourcing initiatives, and ensuring alignment with project schedules and technical requirements. The Category Lead-Services must also oversee contract negotiations, build strong relationships with service providers, and monitor supplier performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 15-20 years of experience in services procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within EPC or Oil & Gas/Power projects
  • Proven experience in international sourcing, especially from China
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement analytics tools
