Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our team. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in reviewing and preparing complex tax returns for individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare moderate to complex tax returns prepared by junior associates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with associates and managers to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Develop and enhance tax knowledge through client work and staying up-to-date with tax developments, providing guidance and support to junior associates.
  • Train and assist associates with their questions on day-to-day basis, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles, applying them appropriately on individual tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
  • Enhance teamwork and communicate effectively with teams in India and the US.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects as requested, demonstrating independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
  • Maintain a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching abilities.
  • Experience working on US individual tax returns with complex situations and High-Net-worth Individuals (HNIs).
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8621, 5471, 1116, 2555, 6252, and Passthrough reporting.
  • Able to manage a team and the team's workflow.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US Individual taxation (1040).
