We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage investment accounting and provide hands-on experience in both investment and general ledger accounting.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consolidated concepts, private equity accounting, and be able to apply this knowledge to ensure accurate investment accounting and support staff with complex entries and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage investment accounting processes and provide expert guidance to staff on complex entries and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including audit and finance teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in US accounting.
  • General ledger accounting expertise.
  • Investment accounting skills, including experience with platforms such as Sage, QBO, Geneva, and Investran.
  • Strong understanding of consolidated accounting concepts, including eliminating entries.
  • Private equity accounting knowledge.
  • Wealth enterprise accounting skills, including entity cost allocation.
  • Trust and foundation accounting expertise.
  • Basic tax treatment knowledge.
  • Diverse experience in investment and personal accounting, especially for family enterprises.
  • Experience in a reviewer role and staff/project management.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Hands-on experience with both investment performance platforms and accounting systems.
  • Proven track record in investment accounting for family offices or similar environments.
  • Ability to train and support staff on complex accounting entries and reconciliations.
