Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Data Science Manager to lead our efforts in developing and implementing data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Connect with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to gather necessary data artifacts, anecdotes, and hypotheses.
  • Create project plans and sprints for milestones and deliverables.
  • Spin up virtual machines, create and optimize clusters for data science workflows.
  • Design and implement data pipelines to effectively ingest data.
  • Assure the quality of data through proactive checks and resolve gaps.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and define performance metrics prior to running machine learning or deep learning algorithms.
  • Research existing solutions before building machine learning models.
  • Develop optimized data models to query relevant data efficiently.
  • Run relevant machine learning or deep learning algorithms for business goal achievement.
  • Optimize and validate these models to scale.
  • Develop light applications, simulators, and scenario builders to help business consumers.
  • Create test cases and test codes pre-production for possible bugs and resolve them proactively.
  • Integrate and operationalize models in client ecosystems.
  • Document project artifacts and log failures and exceptions.
  • Measure and articulate the impact of DS projects on business metrics and fine-tune the workflow based on feedback.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in a quantitative field (CS, statistics, applied mathematics, machine learning, or related discipline).
  • Good programming skills in Python with strong working knowledge of Python's numerical, data analysis, or AI frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LMs) and their framework similar to Langchain.
  • Awareness of entire evolution history of NLP (Traditional Language Models to Modern Large Language Models), training data creation, training set-up and finetuning.
  • Comfortable interpreting research papers and architecture diagrams of Language Models.
  • Comfortable with LORA, RAG, Instruct fine-tuning, Quantization, etc.
  • Predictive modeling experience in Python (Time Series/ Multivariable/ Causal).
  • Experience applying various machine learning techniques and understanding key parameters that affect their performance.
  • Experience of building systems that capture and utilize large data sets to quantify performance via metrics or KPIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative environment with several ongoing concurrent projects.
