Key Role:

We're seeking a seasoned Technology Architect to spearhead the development of our comprehensive SaaS platform.

This pivotal role demands expertise in crafting scalable, maintainable technical foundations that can handle 5,000+ concurrent users and ensure cost-efficiency at 100,000+ total users.

  • Translate high-level product vision into modular service contracts, data flow diagrams, and scalable system components.
  • Drive optimal architectural patterns (monolith vs. microservices, REST vs. event-driven, DB index vs. cache) for seamless user experiences.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to design high-availability infrastructure and auto-scaling environments on AWS.

Core Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Lead architecture clinics and pair programming sessions to mentor junior engineers.
  • Ensure cross-team alignment through regular architecture reviews and feature sign-offs.
  • Analyze and document current platform architecture, identifying bottlenecks and producing formal Architecture Gap Reports.

Observability & Performance

  • Implement observability practices using Datadog, New Relic, Sentry, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Design and execute load-testing scenarios to validate high-concurrency use cases.
  • Monitor platform metrics with < 10% infrastructure cost waste and < 5 false positive alerts per month.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive engineering excellence.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming sessions.
  • Balance hands-on development with leadership duties, reviewing designs and resolving technical debates.
