Music Curator Role

We are seeking a skilled Music Curator to develop and implement vibrant music programs that align with our mission of promoting cultural exchange and artistic exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select and engage artists representing various music genres for standalone performances, festivals, ensembles, and other programming initiatives.
  • Develop innovative festival and thematic concepts that align with our curatorial vision and strategic goals, fostering interdisciplinary connections and engaging diverse audiences.
  • Create music workshops aimed at educating and engaging younger audiences and the larger community.
  • Lead the implementation of music programming initiatives from conceptualization to execution, artist coordination, and repertoire selection.
  • Maintain a pulse on emerging and established artists, trends, and audience preferences through ongoing research, attendance at live performances, and engagement with the wider music community.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Curation or a music-related field.
  • Background and specialization in one or more genres of music as a curator, performer, academic, or researcher, with a deep understanding of diverse musical traditions and styles.
  • Creative thinking skills to develop innovative and compelling music programming concepts that resonate with diverse audiences and advance our mission.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with artists effectively, collaborators, and stakeholders.
