Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist to drive financial accountability and efficiency across our cloud platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze cloud spend across compute, storage, networking, and PaaS services.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities through rightsizing, auto-scaling, reserved instances, and spot usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cost-efficient architectures.
  • Establish and enforce tagging standards for accurate cost allocation and chargeback.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize storage lifecycle policies.
  • Create dashboards, alerts, and reports to enhance cost visibility and accountability.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of cloud spend.
  • Optimize licensing, reservations, and savings plans across cloud services.
  • Provide regular insights to leadership on spend trends, risks, and savings wins.
  • Promote a culture of cost awareness and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, security, and financial policies.
  • Automate operational tasks through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks for cloud operations.
