Our organization seeks a skilled professional to oversee survey operations across offshore wind portfolios. This role involves ensuring the successful execution of geophysical, geotechnical, and construction surveys from tendering through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Project execution lead for individual survey work scopes, encompassing health, safety, security, environmental (HSE) protocols, resourcing, permitting, budget management, and data management.
  • Geo-data integrity assurance to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Survey Subject Matter Expert to related disciplines, providing guidance on technical and commercial aspects of projects.
  • Ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of geophysical, geotechnical, and construction surveys.
  • Delivering high-quality results, meeting project milestones, and collaborating with integrated geoscience teams to acquire and build fit-for-purpose ground models.
  • Collaborating with, and coordinating, safety, consent, and procurement teams to execute works efficiently.
  • Maintaining relationships with third-party suppliers, contractors, and partners to drive long-term performance management and continuous improvement.
  • Contribution to technology development and knowledge sharing within the wider survey, geotechnical, and geophysical communities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Expertise in project management of survey operations, including relevant procurement, HSE, technical commercial, and schedule management.
  • Experience in off- and on-shore geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental survey execution, including demonstrable offshore experience.
  • Identification, assessment, and management of survey acquisition risks.
  • Geotechnical and geophysical data acquisition, quality control, processing, interpretation, and reporting expertise.
  • Knowledge of offshore wind ground engineering activities related to design, analysis, and installation for offshore wind infrastructure.
  • Understanding of survey contractor market, technology developments, and ability to identify and apply new technologies.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Excellent proficiency in English (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, working with distributed teams and time-zones.
  • Proven expertise of working in multi-disciplinary teams and major projects with minimal technical supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable reporting up to senior management.

Education and Experience:

  • Survey or geoscience degree.
  • At least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Appropriate professional accreditation.
