Big Data Platform Lead

The role of a Big Data Platform Lead involves building a highly-scalable and extensible big data platform that provides the foundation for collecting, storing, modeling, and analyzing massive data sets from multiple channels.

You will align the company's objectives with key client initiatives, interface daily with customers, and travel to client locations.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, and evolving highly scalable and fault-tolerant distributed components using Big Data technologies.

Key skills required are experience in application development and support, integration development, and data management.

In addition, you will provide technical leadership, manage day-to-day tasks, and guide developers in design and coding tasks.

Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or similar stack is a must, along with knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming.

The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical and data-driven orientation, raw intellect, talent, and energy.

They should also be able to think unconventionally and possess the ability to be both a leader and hands-on 'doer'.

Required qualifications: 9+ years of relevant work experience, computer science or related technical discipline, experience in architecture and delivery of Enterprise-scale applications, and a proven track record of building and shipping large-scale engineering products.
