Technical Leadership Position

We are seeking a seasoned expert in technical leadership to oversee the development of our software, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and modernization priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define Technical Roadmap: Develop a comprehensive roadmap for our Crew software, incorporating reference architecture, enterprise data standards, and modernization goals.
  • Velocity Enhancement: Remove technological barriers, decouple applications, and streamline processes to empower squads to deliver autonomously at pace.
  • Solution Planning: Plan, define, and high-level design solutions; assist squads in identifying suitable technologies and ensuring sound architectural decisions.
  • Crew Tech Capability: Collaborate with Chapter leads on defining and forecasting Crew tech capability requirements; support implementation of practices, tooling, and training provided in the Crew.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence and support teams handling mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.
  • Technical Debt Management: Drive good design, refactoring, and technical debt elimination; ensure technical debt and associated impacts are visible to Crew and work with POs to reduce it over time.
  • Delivery Management: Ensure delivery within allocated resources, active management, and mitigation of delivery and delivered risk.
  • Talent Development: Accountable for the development, performance management, and career progression of Technology roles.

Proficiency in agile development methodologies and iterative experimentation from ideation to prototype to pilot to product is required. We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. Experience or exposure to some of these will set you up for success in this team: Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration. Cloud - AWS large scale data warehouse implementation experience. Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions. Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance software engineering processes to improve productivity. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript or C#) and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms (AWS & Azure). A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and you are a daily user of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Continue, GitHub CoPilot, Aider, Cline, etc. Strong technical leadership skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to solve business-critical problems. Ability to provide technical direction to teams, reviewing designs and code to ensure best practices.
