Senior Data Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead our data warehouse team in designing and implementing innovative data-intensive applications on Amazon Web Services.

About the Team:

You'll be part of a dynamic team focusing on building and improving data warehouse offerings applying marketing suites.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Sr. Data Engineers and propose architecture
  • Solve complex situations and data modeling
  • Interact directly with clients for requirement gathering
  • Develop and deliver high-quality features
  • Finish tasks to a high standard

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms
  • 4+ years leading a team in data engineering
  • 8+ years hands-on experience in using Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting
  • 5+ years proven experience building cloud-native data-intensive applications on Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in Databricks and dbt
  • Highly proficient in architecting and implementing workflow management systems
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining Spark applications
  • Fundamental understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats
  • Proficiency in an IaC tool such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with observability systems
  • Strong experience building CI/CD processes

  • Comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback
  • Able to code and provide good quality readable business documentation
  • Focus on business value vs engineering interest
  • Pro-active and service-oriented towards internal customers
