Livelihoods Leader

We are seeking an experienced professional to spearhead our rural livelihoods strategy, creating sustainable and scalable income opportunities in Punjab. As a Livelihoods Lead, you will develop innovative models that address rural challenges, enhance dignity of work, women's participation, and climate resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive livelihoods strategy aligned with our organization's vision and Punjab's socio-economic realities.
• Livelihood Model Design: Identify and design sustainable income-generating opportunities for rural communities, such as agri-allied enterprises, skill development, women-led micro-enterprises, and green economy initiatives.
• Program Planning and Implementation: Lead end-to-end program design, planning, and implementation, ensuring integration of technology, digital literacy, and market linkages in livelihood programs.
• Partnerships and Ecosystem Building: Forge partnerships with government, CSR donors, foundations, corporates, and local NGOs to expand livelihood interventions.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate Degree: In Rural Development, Management, Social Work, Agriculture, or related fields.
• Experience: 10-15 years of progressive experience in livelihoods, rural development, or community enterprise building, preferably in India, particularly in Punjab/North India.
• Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of social enterprises, women's economic empowerment, agriculture, and allied sectors; fluency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi (preferred).
• Competencies: Strategic thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, community engagement, ability to influence stakeholders at grassroots and policy levels, excellent communication and facilitation skills.
