Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lease Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a Lease Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lease accounting records.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to lease liabilities and right-of-use assets.
  • Assist with the monthly close process and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely updates.
  • Monitor critical lease dates to prevent missed deadlines.
Requirements
  • Accounting Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to lease accounting or real estate accounting.
  • ASC 842 Knowledge: Proficiency in ASC 842 and lease accounting principles.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Lease Accounting Software: Familiarity with lease accounting software like Yardi, CoStar, or Lucernex.
