Job Title: Japanese Translator

Overview

We seek a skilled translator to provide high-quality translation services from Japanese to English.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate translations adhering to tight deadlines and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure translated content meets required standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, terminology, and best practices in translation and localization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Japanese translation, preferably in the pharma domain.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language skills, including N2 level writing skills and ability to communicate effectively in Japanese.
  • Experience in working with IT systems, tools, and technologies such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and Help Desk software.
  • Good understanding of ITIL framework and basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field.
  • Certification in Japanese translation, such as Nihon Shuppan Kyokai (NSK) or Japan Institute for Translation and Interpretation (JITI).
  • Proficiency in using project management tools and version control systems like Git.
