As a seasoned technology leader, you will oversee the strategic direction of our cybersecurity platform. Your expertise in driving technical innovation and building high-performing teams will be invaluable to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering roadmap that aligns with business objectives
  • Establish a lean and agile engineering team by hiring and mentoring top talent
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of secure and scalable software solutions
  • Implement best practices in coding, testing, continuous integration and deployment, observability, and architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Make informed technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Set and track key performance indicators for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
Success Metrics in the First Year:
  • Establish an initial engineering team of 5-7 members
  • Deliver a minimum viable product (MVP) release of our cybersecurity solution and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Implement secure and automated continuous integration and deployment pipelines and monitoring baselines
  • Define and document engineering best practices and architecture standards
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software engineering
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development experience
  • At least 2-3 years in engineering management (team building, delivery)
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering software as a service (SaaS) products, preferably in cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch)
  • Exposure to compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Understanding of security best practices for SaaS products
