IT Financial Analyst Job Description

Job Role: IT Financial Analyst

  • Financial analysis and budget management for the IT division.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage financial documents related to IT investments, including POs, SOWs, invoices, and other relevant records.
  2. Classify OPEX and CAPEX IT expenses.
  3. Reconcile IT finance records with general ledger accounts.
  4. Assist in managing CE IT function budgets.
  5. Record and track IT user access across various platforms.
  6. Provide MIS reports on internal and external resource utilization.
  7. Generate additional MIS reports as required by management for informed decision-making.
  8. Facilitate vendor discussions for accurate mapping of invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation.
  9. Billing services provided to business users based on agreed terms and conditions.
  10. Review financial data, documents, and journal entries for accuracy and proper account coding.
  11. Reconcile or oversee reconciliation of various payable items and coordinate with AP teams for accuracy and alignment.
  12. Liaise with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and CE IT leadership regarding cost analysis and chargebacks.
  13. Report IT financial performance and analyze budgeted costs versus actual costs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT-related financial analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience in reporting and analytics.
