Door Trim Engineer

Are you an innovative and experienced engineer looking to lead the development of Interior components for new or ongoing programs? We're seeking a talented Door Trim Engineer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of Interior components for new or On-going Program Development (OPD) programmes.
  • Collaborate with the Body Engineering team to develop designs that meet vehicle targets and ensure compatibility with A-surfaces.
  • Manage Change Request, expenditure forecasting, and supplier teams in support of programme milestones.
  • Develop and maintain detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign off and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issues.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in leading project teams, resolving business, technical, and process issues.
  • A good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes.
  • Knowledge of automotive Body Cabin systems, plastic & Sheet metal materials, Design rules, Bill of design, Bill of Process, DFMEA, DVP, DFM, Part & assembly level tests.
  • Able to create 2D sections and 3D geometry using Catia V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck.
  • Experience in using CATIA V5 & V6.
  • Good knowledge of Domain Knowledge, Parametric Modelling, BOM creation, and update.
  • Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
  • Good knowledge of Enovia, Teamcenter Engineering (TCE), Part release process, and system.
  • Engineering knowledge of defined component(s)/system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
  • PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc
  • BE/B.Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering
