Senior Finance Leader Position

The sought-after Financial Controller will spearhead our financial operations and foster technological innovation in accounting and financial processes. This senior leadership position demands a strategic financial expert with 15-18 years of progressive experience in the NBFC sector, blending deep financial expertise with a passion for leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with RBI guidelines and accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS).
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Manage statutory and regulatory reporting requirements including RBI returns, GST filings, and other compliance obligations.
• Develop comprehensive financial analysis and management reporting frameworks.
• Coordinate with external auditors for smooth audit processes.
• Collaborate with the Business team on annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management and the board of directors.
• Conduct variance analysis and offer actionable recommendations for business improvement.
• Support business development initiatives with financial modeling and feasibility analysis.
• Oversee capital adequacy planning and regulatory capital management.

Taxation and Compliance

• Lead comprehensive tax planning and strategy for direct and indirect taxes.
• Oversee GST compliance, return filings, and input tax credit optimization.
• Manage income tax computations, advance tax payments, and TDS/TCS compliance.
• Handle tax assessments, appeals, and liaison with tax authorities.
• Ensure compliance with withholding tax requirements on various financial products.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess its impact on business operations.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and manage transfer pricing documentation.
• Implement tax technology solutions for automated compliance and reporting.

Risk Management and Compliance

• Establish and maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including RBI norms, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations.
• Monitor and manage credit risk, operational risk, and market risk exposures (internal financial controls).
• Implement and oversee fraud prevention and detection mechanisms.
• Coordinate with risk management and compliance teams.

Technology Integration and Process Innovation

• Spearhead digital transformation initiatives in finance and accounting functions.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems, ERP solutions, and automation tools.
• Drive process reengineering to eliminate manual interventions and enhance accuracy.
• Develop and implement automated reconciliation processes and controls.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Drive performance management and succession planning within the finance function.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Technology, Risk, and Audit.
• Champion change management initiatives and ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
• MBA in Finance/related field is an advantage.
