Research Catalyst

As a research assistant, you will play a key role in driving business growth and efficiency by uncovering insights from complex data. You will work closely with the team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic solutions.

• Develop research questions and hypotheses that address critical business needs.
• Conduct thorough literature reviews of academic papers, industry reports, and standards to inform your analysis.
• Map competitors and adjacent solutions using feature matrices and benchmarks to identify opportunities for differentiation.

• Collect and clean high-quality data from trusted sources and public datasets to support your research.
• Apply structured analyses in spreadsheets or Python or SQL to validate your hypotheses and drive insights.
• Assist in evaluating models or prompts or extraction pipelines and summarize results to inform business decisions.

• Produce clear and concise research briefs, one-pagers, and slide summaries with citations to facilitate communication with stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed research logs, assumptions, and references to ensure auditability and transparency.
• Create engaging visuals such as tables, simple charts, and process diagrams to explain complex findings and drive stakeholder engagement.

• Curate a searchable knowledge base of papers, links, and internal notes to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Track source provenance, licensing, and usage restrictions to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Adhere to privacy, security, and ethical guidelines for data handling to maintain stakeholder trust.

• Analyze user pain points, workflows, and industry regulations in BFSI to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Support pricing and TCO or ROI models with assumptions and sensitivity checks to inform business investment decisions.
• Prepare inputs for thought leadership, case studies, and collateral to showcase organizational expertise and build credibility.

• 2+ years of experience in research, analytics, consulting, or a related field.
• Strong skills in secondary research, note-taking, and citation management.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and comfort with pivot tables and basic formulas.
• Working knowledge of Python or SQL for basic data wrangling is a plus.
• Clear writing skills with the ability to produce concise, structured summaries.
