Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced public relations and communications professional to join our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive PR and communication strategies, enhancing our brand presence across various media channels, and managing our organization's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective PR and communication strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage print, digital, social, and website media to enhance brand presence and reach a wider audience.
  • Create engaging content using design tools to capture the attention of our target audience.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute press releases to relevant media outlets, showcasing our achievements and expertise.
  • Manage and grow our online presence across various social media platforms.
  • Coordinate with media outlets for coverage and advertisements, ensuring maximum exposure for our brand.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR activities, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels, reinforcing our values and mission.
  • Handle crisis communication effectively, protecting our brand's reputation in times of uncertainty.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations and communication.
  • Postgraduate degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design tools, with the ability to create visually appealing content.
  • Strong understanding of print, digital, social, and website media, with the ability to leverage these channels effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages that resonate with our target audience.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively to deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and maintain a high level of productivity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of media monitoring tools, enabling us to stay ahead of the competition and respond quickly to emerging trends.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and challenges, and develop creative solutions to drive business growth.
