Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned robotics professional to spearhead our robotic product development and oversee a high-performing mechanical design team.

This leadership role requires end-to-end expertise in robotics, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes with a strong focus on driving products from concept to production with innovation and precision.

The ideal candidate will have 6–12 years of experience in robotics, industrial automation, or related fields, deep expertise in SolidWorks, including motion study, GD&T application, assembly design, and detailing.

They should also have a proven track record in leading product development from concept to manufacturing in the industrial domain, strong understanding of fabrication techniques: sheet metal design, cable routing, and machined parts integration.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed BOMs, tolerance analysis, and DFM/DFA, excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performance teams.

A strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillset is essential. Knowledge of patent documentation and IP filing processes is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design & development of robotic products from concept to manufacturing
  • Mentoring and managing the mechanical design team
  • Using SolidWorks for 3D modeling, motion studies, assembly design & detailing
  • Preparing manufacturing-ready drawings (GD&T, BOMs, tolerance stack-up)
  • Designing for manufacturability – focusing on sheet metal, cable routing, assembly optimization, machined parts
  • Collaborating with CTO, vendors, and manufacturing teams for smooth execution
  • Driving R&D initiatives, contributing to patents and IP filings
  • Ensuring documentation accuracy, design reviews, and compliance with industry standards
