Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer with hands-on coding expertise in Python and Pyspark to help implement an application for a large retailer. This role requires strong understanding of Telemetry, Big Data, and backend engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and Pyspark
  • Collaborate with business partners to implement feedback and drive business analytics
  • Analyze and process streaming data from IoT units and sensors
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Expertise in Python, Pyspark, and SQL
  • Strong Big Data experience, GCP preferred
  • Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar
Preferred Skills:
  • IoT systems, especially in: Refrigeration units, HVAC systems, Controllers and sensors
  • Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored
