We are seeking an experienced IC Layout Manager to lead our Custom layout team in India. This role will play a critical part in supporting Micron's global DRAM layout requirement.

As an IC Layout Manager, you will work with a talented core team based in India, leading them to design IC layouts for intensive applications such as artificial intelligence and high-performance computing solutions. You will collaborate with peer teams across Micron's global footprint to meet scheduled milestones in multiple projects-based environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in building and growing a Custom layout team from the ground up to support Micron's global DRAM layout requirements.
  • Develop and implement analog and custom layout strategies to meet schedule and milestone targets.
  • Train the team's technical skills and foster cultural healthiness.
  • Effectively communicate with engineering teams in the US, Japan, and China to ensure the success of layout projects.
  • Organize, prioritize, and manage logistics on tasks and resource allocations for multiple projects.
  • Manage performance and development of team members.
  • Hire and retain top talent.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Micron DRAM India operation.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in analog/custom layout in advanced CMOS processes, in various technology nodes (Planar, FinFET).
  • Minimum 1+ years people management experience.
  • Expertise in Cadence VLE/VXL and Mentor Graphic Calibre DRC/LVS.
  • Strong skills in layout and floor planning, manual routing.
  • Able to build and continuously develop a premier analog/mixed-signal layout team.
  • Experienced in managing multiple Custom IC layout projects.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, systematic, and methodical approach in IC layout design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent with strong analytical skills, creative thinking, and self-motivation.
  • Capable of working in a cross-functional, multi-site team environment in multiple time zones.
  • Prior experience in DRAM/NAND layout design is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Passionate about attracting, hiring, retaining engineers by motivating them and inculcating innovation culture.
  • Able to collaborate with overseas teams to define strategy, plan, and execute globally.
  • Accountable for proper technical solutions implemented by your team.

Compensation: Estimated annual salary: $250,000 - $350,000, depending on location and experience.
