Job Title: Commercial Growth Director

 

The primary responsibility of this role is to spearhead commercial growth initiatives across various channels, including direct-to-consumer (D2C), marketplaces, offline, and emerging platforms.

 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy that caters to diverse customer segments, prioritizing revenue, margin, and customer acquisition cost (CAC)/lifetime value (LTV) targets.
  • Establish and manage end-to-end inventory processes to ensure less than or equal to 2% stock-out and less than or equal to 4% ageing stock.
  • Craft and implement product-market fit strategies, localize hero SKUs, and define new-product roadmaps while sunsetting low return on investment (ROI) lines.
  • Collaborate with the research and development (R&D) team to adapt formulations for regional regulations and sensorial preferences.
  • Oversee 360-degree marketing efforts—performance, influencer, customer relationship management (CRM), public relations (PR)—allocating budgets for maximum return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Design and maintain data pipelines and dashboards; track cohorts, repeat rates, marketplace rankings in real-time.
  • Negotiate with third-party logistics providers, payment partners, and duty consultants to optimize landed costs and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Recruit, mentor, and performance-manage cross-functional teams (growth, operations, customer success, retail, trade).
  • Champion customer obsession by mining voice of customer (VOC) insights to inform product updates and customer experience enhancements.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with wellness chains, tourism boards, Ayurveda clinics to amplify reach.
  • Ensure legal and tax compliance, including cosmetics claims, import duties, and general data protection regulation (GDPR)-like mandates.
  • Present quarterly business reviews to global leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and next bets.
  • Implement a test-and-learn culture by running A/B tests on funnels, creatives, bundles, and pricing levers.
  • Establish disaster-recovery and continuity plans for supply, logistics, ads, and key seller accounts.
  • Benchmark competition, delivering actionable intelligence on pricing, share-of-voice, and shelf velocity.
  • Represent the brand as a cultural ambassador, embodying its ethos while driving high-performance execution.
