Cloud Data Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Data Engineering Lead to drive the migration of an on-premises Enterprise Data Warehouse to a modern cloud-based data platform utilizing Azure Cloud data tools and Snowflake.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the migration process, ensuring seamless integration and data flow across multiple systems.
• This platform will enable offshore resources to build and develop Reporting, Analytics, and Data Science solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR), Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), Blob Storage, Databricks, and Snowflake.

• Manage and lead the migration of the on-premises SQL Server Enterprise Data Warehouse to Azure Cloud and Snowflake, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Design, develop, and implement data platform solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR), Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), Blob Storage, Databricks, and Snowflake, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native ETLs and data pipelines using modern technologies on Azure Cloud, Databricks, and Snowflake, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
• Implement and oversee DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Git Actions, ensuring continuous integration and delivery of high-quality software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow, driving business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Ongoing optimization and troubleshooting of data pipelines and workflows, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, driving innovation, growth, and excellence in cloud data engineering.

• Certification in Azure or Snowflake, demonstrating expertise in cloud data platforms and related technologies.
• Prior experience working with automated ETL conversion tools used during cloud migrations, showcasing ability to streamline complex processes.
• Experience with data modeling and database design, ensuring optimal data structures and architectures.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices, driving data-driven decision-making and business value.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud), enabling adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing technology landscape.

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a Cloud Data Engineering role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or technical delivery role, driving business outcomes and technical excellence.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud data tools (ADF, SHIR, Logic Apps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage), Databricks, and Snowflake, ensuring proficiency in cloud data platforms and related technologies.
• Strong experience in developing cloud-native ETLs and data pipelines using modern technologies on Azure Cloud, Databricks, and Snowflake, driving innovation and business value.
• Proficiency in DevOps and CI/CD practices using Git Actions, ensuring continuous integration and delivery of high-quality software.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data processing, showcasing ability to work with diverse technologies and programming languages.
