Web Services Engineer - JSON

This is a highly technical role that involves designing, developing, and maintaining web services and APIs.

We are seeking a skilled engineer with experience in JSON data handling and integration maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth integration between various systems, both internal and third-party.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot RESTful web services and APIs with JSON as the primary data format.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize existing web services for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions.
  • Debug and resolve integration issues and provide timely fixes.
  • Document web service architecture, workflows, and integration processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining web services and API integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in JSON and experience working with XML is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms, middleware, or ESB tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of authentication and security protocols (OAuth, JWT, API keys).
  • Good programming skills in languages like Java, Node.js, Python, or similar.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with version control tools (Git).
  • Good understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
